We're in search of a PHP Developer skilled in Symfony to join our client's team, a pioneer in the EdTech sector providing a SaaS solution that connects learners with top-notch educational content. This role involves close collaboration within a tech team composed of agile squads, focusing on implementing the product team's vision, enhancing existing environments, and developing new features based on Clean Architecture and Domain Driven Design principles. 
 

Job requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Proficient in PHP 8.1+ and Symfony 6.0;
  • Experience with RabbitMQ;
  • Familiarity with AWS Aurora databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL);
  • Knowledge of CI/CD deployment processes;
  • Good understanding of DDD, Clean Architecture, Command Query Separation, and Adapter Pattern;
  • Experience with TDD, PHPUnit, BDD, and Behat;
  • Proficiency in Docker, AWS;
  • Fluent in Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and Kanban;
  • Excellent team collaboration skills;
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code;
  • Collaborate with the product team to accurately interpret needs and transform them into technical requirements;
  • Work closely with the CTO and Lead Developer, leveraging their expertise and guidance on project architecture and existing frameworks to enhance product functionality and user experience;
  • Continuous development of the product by incorporating new features, following Clean Architecture principles and applying Domain Driven Design approaches;
  • Ensure the product remains at the forefront of technology by prioritizing the integration of the latest PHP versions and implementing robust CI/CD processes for streamlined deployment and updates.
     

Extra skills

  • Interest in the EdTech or FinTech sector;
  • Familiarity with Symfony Messenger Component;
  • Strong problem-solving and architectural challenge skills.
