Our client, a PropTech player with a cloud-based platform trusted by hundreds of estate agencies across the UK is looking for a DevOps Engineer with GCP. In this role, you will help achieve the company’s mission: becoming the go-to tenancy platform for agents, landlords and tenants.

You’ll be part of a team that wants to develop a method or procedure for providing tools to the business in order to enhance their current capabilities. In particular, the team wants to begin utilizing Streamlit to supply Python apps and machine learning methods. With this technology, you can use Python code to construct web applications.

Our client’s analytics database is hosted on GCP and so they would like someone to come in and help build a streamlit instance in the GCP area where the web app can be accessed via VPN. The actual app that will be built by the data team
but the environment, the connection to GCP, the connection to the VPN and the security of the application, will be built by you.

Job requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience working with the Google Cloud Storage systems and managing the integrations between the various GCP systems, specifically, between Big Query and Cloud Run apps;
  • Experience in deploying applications on GCP using either Cloud Run or App Engine;
  • Application integration experience with IAM roles, such as the GCP Identity-Aware Proxy;
  • Experience building queries in BigQuery;
  • Strong knowledge of Python, including using the packages: Pandas and Streamlit.
  • Expertise in Docker, container technologies, and AWS;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
