Our client, a highly trusted insurance and asset management company with roots in Germany, is looking for a DevSecOps Specialist. As part of this position, you will join the security team with a mission to promote innovation and implement the best security practices.

Your mission will be to continuously improve the customer journey by adding additional services aimed at increasing customer satisfaction as well as efficiency and effectiveness for the insurance companies.
 

Job requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in AWS cloud computing and microservices architecture;
  • Expertise in IT security in the cloud (particularly on AWS infrastructure and with Snowflake);
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices;
  • Confidence in technical writing (researching and documenting the security tools and techniques used);
  • Ability to analyse complex security issues, identify potential vulnerabilities and develop effective solutions to address those vulnerabilities;
  • Solid understanding of security concepts and technologies such as authentication, access control, encryption and secure control, encryption and secure coding practices;
  • Preferred mindset: team player and proactive self-starter;
  • Good verbal and written English.
     

Responsibilities

  • Assist the business in implementing cyber security controls and measures to ensure ISO requirements;
  • Implement all privacy security controls relevant to the platform;
  • Promote the importance of security within the organisation;
  • Work with development teams to implement security best practices or with IT teams to improve network security;
  • Perform the necessary tasks to create, together with the ISO, a security policy for the solution;
  • Monitor the security of software and systems on an ongoing basis;
  • Ability to interact with developers, DevOps and infrastructure teams to help them implement the security requirements defined by ISO;
  • Strong analytical skills to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of security controls;
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve complex cybersecurity issues.
